Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
Credit line increase/decrease Arkansas
Opened - - Online card relatively 6 months ago to help improve credit rating. Was immediately approved with a $600.00 credit limit. Always spent under $250.00 and all payments made on time. Today without warning my credit line was reduced to $230.00 with $8.00 available to spend which increased my utilization percentage and card almost maxed out. I called - Bank/Amazon to get an explanation and was told a letter would be mailed to my address and that it was a business decision after review of my account and credit report. My credit score dropped - points today of which they are a part of that point lose. They have hurt my credit as opposed to helping it without warning or great explanation. I closed the account and was informed I still need to make on time payments and the card could not reopened once closed. This bank is doing more harm than good to helping consumers the reason I had opened the account. They have dropped my score instead of raised it. This matter needs to be addressed.
