Non-federal student loan Can't repay my loan Can't temporarily postpone payments New York
In - -, I requested that my school send in updated verification information to continue my in-school deferment for my Wells Fargo student loans that have been in deferment since - -. On - -, -, I was contacted via telephone by a Wells Fargo representative, who confirmed that my enrollment verification information was received, asked a series of questions, and told to expect a response within approximately 10 days. On - -, -, after being notified my loan was no longer in deferment, I called to verify the status, and I learned that my deferment was still being processed. None of my other student loan lenders request updated enrollment information to continue a deferment for a four-year - program ; it is only Wells Fargo that mandates annual re-applications for deferments while in a four-year program, and Wells Fargo still has not updated my deferment even after receiving the needed enrollment verification one month ago, causing my loan to go into repayment.
