Wells Fargo & Company Credit card department,
Identity theft / Fraud / Embezzlement Ohio
-/-/2015 I wanted to rebuild my credit so I contacted my banker at Wells Fargo by phone and asked him what are my options to help me achieve the goal. He told me my best option will be to open a secured card with wells fargo and within a year of opening I will be graduated to their unsecured card and have my collateral returned to me. All this sounded good to me and I agreed to put a collateral of $300.00 down to get a credit limit of $300.00. The card was working fine and I thought I might change my limit to $600.00 so I put an additional $300.00 for collateral for a credit increase. Everything was working great. But after 1 year had passed and I did not see any change happen on the account I contacted the customer service via phone to see what was going on this. I was transferred to a supervisor ( His name was - ), who had a look at my account and said that I should have already been graduated and he will email the corporate to look into this and I shall hear back within a week. So I
all on a recorded line ). So after being super frustrated that a supervisor will lie to a customer right on the face on a recorded line I asked so what is happening with my graduation to be told that they can not say anything as this is a automated process while being super rude about it. So basically what it boils down to is that the banker at the branch did n't tell me everything and just opened an account on the pretense that I will be getting my collateral back within a year. He did not take any signature or anything and just verbal confirmation ( which according to law is as good as a contract ). I feel super cheated by wells fargo and looking at their recent wrongdoing findings makes me question if I will ever see that $600.00 back. This and on top of they have kept charging me annual fees for breaking their own promise and a representative of the company speaks for the company itself. So I will like my money back oir need to know why was lied to and defrauded by the banker ( just to meet his sales numbers? ). And all what I have written can be looked in the recorded conversation that wells fargo has had with me.
