Citibank Credit card department,

Advertising and marketing California

In - 2016 I went to the Citi website to apply for Citi - Honors Rewards card and clicked on an offer that would provide - or - - Honors Rewards points if I had $2000.00 in charges in the first 3 months. Once my application was approved, and I logged into my account, I noticed that Citi changed the benefit to - points for $1000.00 in 1 month. I called customer service on numerous occasions and told them there had been a bait and switch. After weeks of a runaround, someone ( - ) from Citi Executive Officer - called to help with my issue. After a day of " looking into it, '' he got back to me and told me that the marketing department said there was no possible way that that initial offer that I clicked on was available in -/-/- when I applied. I told him that it indeed was and I had clicked on it, on the Citi website, to apply. He said there 's nothing more he can do. The conversation ended. There are numerous websites indicating the offer was available when I applied. Some of them are as follows : -/-/- : - -/-/- : - -/-/- : - -/-/- : - -/-/- : - I would like the points that I was promised upon my initial application.
