Amex Credit Card Complaint

Amex Credit card department,

Advertising and marketing Texas

I 'm contacting the CFPB as my final resort as I 've been contacting Amex numerous times regarding my Platinum Card which I was approved on - -, 2016. The promotional offer associated with the application included receiving - Membership Rewards ( MR ) points after making $3000.00 in eligible purchases on the card in the first three months of Card Membership which I did. I have a legitimate business and use several credit cards to spread out my expenses and have a track of them. I also use them for my personal consumption and have always been a good customer in that regards as I 've never had a single collection or missed payment. Amex ( American express ) has stated to me that the reason why I had a - clawback is because I had returned items. I 've explained that I 've made purchases for more than the required $3000.00 spend and that even with the returns, it still counted for the promotional offer. As our phone conversations are always recorded, amex could easily listen to them and hear that the first agent that opened a case acknowledge that even with the returns, I should of been

they are trying to deny my bonus for any reason they seem to have on the day of calling. Furthermore, I must say that my points were not redeemable for any partner transfer and were locked and frozen and that I had to wait 6-8 weeks before getting an answer on my case ( which ended being much longer than that as my points were taken back on - when I had originally applied on the -, so 14 weeks total, another promise that was not fulfilled from Amex. I am simply requesting to have those points back into my account as I was advertised. Thank you
