Wells Fargo & Company Credit card department,
I had a Wells Fargo credit card with a great Rewards Program. On - -, 2016 they sent me a letter, which I received on - -, 2016, saying I was overusing their rewards program- like making too many large purchases, and that if I did n't stop, they would close my account. I did stop immediately : I only made - purchases after that, both for gas under $20.00. I could have withdrawn all my rewards in cash at that time, but I did n't, as I had been saving up for a trip for my family, and if I redeemed my rewards for travel, the points were worth - % more. So I naively trusted their letter. On - - they sent me a follow up letter, forcing my account to be closed and seizing all of the value of all of the rewards that I had accrued, through purchases and through bonus sign-up offers. After I realized this, I called them on - -, from - until -, speaking with - different people and many different departments. No one could help me get my money back. I never broke any terms or laws or rules. I complied with their terms to stop making large purchases on their card. In return they seized a cash value of $1900.00, or a value if redeemed for travel of $2800.00. This also adds a stain to my credit report.
