Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Received bad information about my loan Florida
Back in when I was first looking into attending college, a Wells Fargo banker gave me the impression that I needed a private student loan in order to cover school expenses that did not directly relate to tuition, such as purchasing a laptop for school. Since that time, I 've discovered that such information was false and that one does not typically pursue private student loans unless the cost of tuition exceeds the total amount of public loans/grants that available publicly. The result of this misleading information was that I signed up for a pair of private student loans to fund my - college education, and I 've been stuck paying over $200.00 a month for several years since the end of my education - well over the average amount for most college students. In addition to obtaining this misinformation relating to college funding, I 've been denied student loan consolidation through Wells Fargo, even after having been pre-qualified for it. Wells Fargo initially miscalculated my income as having been bi-weekly instead of weekly. I corrected this information and was still denied the loan, and I never received an explanation regarding the denial.
