U.S. Bancorp Credit card department,
I had a Fidelity - issued by - - -. It was closed out with a balance -/-/-. I was making payments faithfully since then. Fidelity then closed out their agreement with - - - -/-/-. I received no notice of this. The account was sold to Elan Financial Services -/-/-. They claim to have called me repeatedly regarding the overdue amount, but my cell phone records indicate no such calls or voice mails received. I also never received any letters from them stating they would report me as delinquent to the credit bureaus. As of today, a " 60 day past due '' indicator showed up on all - credit reports. In violation of the FRCA, I was never notified of any past due amount, nor their intent to report the deliquency to the bureaus. I travel for a living and need to be able to rent cars. While I know you can use a debit card for this purpose, it 's harder.
