One day, maybe in - or -, I took out a student loan with a bank that was not Wells Fargo ... I never originated a loan with Wells Fargo ... Ive banked there for over 20 years ... Never anywhere else ... Never a loan ... I assume Wells Fargo purchased the bank with which I originated the loan. How can Wells Fargo have rights that the originator never had? Wells Fargo, out of the blue one day in - of -, did an offset to my bank account for $1500.00 for a loan with a bank that would have to go through the legal system to get rights to my bank accountPlus the loan would have originated in - or - so it seems that the statute was up. To this day, I do n't know what loan this is about, and when I called Wells Fargo back in - -, I talked to an underwriter named - who was offered no explanation. When I submitted a complaint form, I got a letter from a person identified as -
Wells Fargo put me in duress by taking $1500.00 of my bank balance and telling me that if I would not agree to a monthly payment plan they could reduce my bank balance by 75 % whenever they please. The scenario was stunning, and has caused me emotional distress. I was intimidated and to this day I feel like Wells Fargo may go into my account for whatever reason they deem acceptable.
