Today I checked my balance on my Walmart Mastercard by calling the toll free number -. I 've been a customer for more than 2 years and I 've never paid late and have always paid my balance by the due date. When I call the account services number I usually get a message that my account has been matched with my social and it asks me to enter the last - digits. This saves a lot of time. Recently I made a complaint to Synchrony bank, the servicer of the Walmart Mastercard, about walmart.com charging me for a toaster that I ordered online - -, 2016 at Walmart.com and then canceled the same day because it was n't available for free same day pick up at the store as promised. So today after checking my balance via phone call and finding it different from my calculations, I called the toll free number a second time so I could check my recent transaction history and find out if the toaster I DIDN '' T BUY has been removed from my recent transactions. On the second call I was asked to enter my entire account number and then last - of my social, and the system said it did n't recognize it. I tried again and got the same response. So now I have no way to dispute mistakes on my account or ask questions or get customer service. I have NO faith in the security/integrity of walmart.com and I 'm not going to do transactions on their website. I really do n't want to believe that Walmart /Synchrony would lock me out ( although it looks that way! ) to retaliate against me for being vigilant about my own credit usage and making legitimate complaints about Walmart.com 's mistake!
