I purchased a car in -, which was financed with Flagship. When my first payment was due I established a user name and password on their website to process my payment. I processed the first 4 payments online without any issue. Then sometime after that I missed my payment by 5 days, which I requested to have my payment changed to the last day of the month, as that is when I get paid, and Flagship informed me that it is their policy to not accept any payments between the - and -, as I tried to login to make a payment I received a message that my login for online banking did not exist and I needed to call customer service. I called customer service and was informed that customers that are 1 day late are locked out and have to call customer service to make a payment. The caveat to making a payment with customer service, is you have to pay a $10.00 processing fee. Now I realize I was late, however, most banks do give some type of grace period and even if there is a late fee you are not locked out of online payments. Recently

seems unfair that Flagship charges a fee regardless if your payment is on time to use they online system and if you call to make a payment, you no longer have to pay $10.00, but you have to pay the $2.00. If you elect to have reoccurring payments automatically out of your account there is no processing fee. So basically unless you sign up for reoccurring payments, you pay a fee to make a payment. Is it legal for Flagship to lockdown the - - - ( - ) for payments? Is it legal or fair for Flagship to charge a fee for online and telephone payments? Is it legal or fair for Flagship to lockdown access to online payment processing when you are one day past due? Was it fair for Flagship to remove the option of making an online payment without having to pay any fee? I would like Flagship 's policies and procedures and reviewed for appropriateness. I feel this is unfair and deceptive acts and taking advantage of consumers with less than perfect credit.
