Citibank Credit card department,
I am writing to express my concerns as to the transfer of the credit card services to CITI Bank. I have been a loyal Sears customer since -. On Saturday - - I received a letter from Citi writing that my account was past due and to pay $57.00 today. It also when on to say that the delinquency was being report to the credit bureaus. I could not believe what I was reading and in turn called - where I was greeted with the rudest people that I have ever talked to. I explained that I never received a bill from Sears or Citi bank the representative then said it was emailed to me. I then explained do not get any of my bills via email they continued to say that was impossible and I received the bill and that was all there was to the issue. I again asked why did n't I get a paper bill they said it did not make any difference they wanted their $57.00 plus late fees of $65.00.
not understand how they had my email address the only logical thing that I know of is that - just transferred all their accounts from - - to Citi bank the same as Sears transferring their accounts to Citi bank and that the information was shared between units. After my very unsatisfactory conversation from Citi Bank customer Service I called Sears Customer Service who was very apologetic for my experience. They also removed the late fee payments and continued to state that there have been a large number of accounts that did not get their bills. She also said this is particularly true for accounts that have not been used for a long time. The rudeness and verbal strong arming is not the way to conduct business maybe it is again the minimum paying job where they are not paid to think or research instead brainwashed into give me the money now ....
