PayPal Holdings, Inc. Credit card department,
Unsolicited issuance of credit card Oklahoma
On - -, 2016, I placed an order from - website using a -. I filled out the forms that popped up. Unknowingly, the website had me sign up for PayPal Credit. On - -, 2016, I received a statement for an unpaid balance for my purchase. Upon calling PayPal Credit, I find out that I have a $2300.00 line of credit. I have paid for the transaction and closed the account. I feel that PayPal Credit did not fully vet the vendor to see how their website is signing customers up for PayPal credit. PayPal credit says they do not report to credit bureaus ; however, I am concerned that my credit score will be affected by this. PayPal credit also informed me that they are not a credit card, but my account number is --digits long. I am beyond frustrated and they need to be held to the same standards of every other company in the financial industry. I also did not receive a privacy notice until my statement arrived. Had I not opened my mail, I would have ruined my credit because I believed it to be junk mail.
