After pulling credit report to get pre-approved for a home mortgage i see there is a collections debt that has been on my report since 2013. after calling to see what it is for it was for a college fee. I have never once received any bills, letters or phone calls about this debt in collections. how i am to know about this or pay it when i have not been contacted one time, does not seem fair and has now destroyed my credit. called the collection agency and they were of no help and stated over and over i must pay and then finally said to me that we are getting no where and will report it to there client and then hung up on me.
