Citibank Credit card department,
I received my bill today and noticed my interest rate had suddenly gone up to 25.49 % from my usual 23.99 %. I reported Macy 's last year. I have been a faithful and loyal customer for the last 20 years. This company definitely holds political grudges. I have Never been late. I have paid by phone the last few months. I had a $85.00 minimum payment for the last few years. They are claiming I just recently charged $2800.00 on my card. They claim they were giving me a promotional rate. I have not used the card since -/-/- or -/-/-. This amount of $2800.00 has been on there for a couple of years. I spent a half an hour on the phone with them and got nowhere. I do not understand their representatives and they speak garbled. They have no right to SUDDENLY charge me a much higher rate WITHOUT E-PLAINATION! Please check into this! - -
