On -/-/2016 I got on - airlines web sight to purchase a ticket. They had an offer with american express that if you applied and got approved for a credit card, you would receive - dividend mile after you made a $1000.00 in purchases and a $50.00 credit after you made a purchase with -. I applied and was approved right a way. They Emailed me my credit card account number. When I tried to purchase my ticket, ( minutes later ) the application wanted my - digit pin number on the back of the card, I did n't have one. I called american express and told them and they said that I will have to wait until I get the card and that they did n't have it either. I bought the $790.00 airline ticket with another credit card that day, because I did n't know how long it would take to get the card. I received my american express credit card statement today and I did n't see the $50.00 credit on it. I called Amercian express and complainted about trying to make a puchase and could n't because I could n't get the pin Number and that I I had until -/-/- to make a purchase through - before the offer expired.. My complaint is I tried to make a purchase with Delta through their promotion american express credit card and could n't because they would n't give me the - digit pin number to complete the transaction. I tried to get american express to extend that offer for another 3 month but they would n't. I do n't plan purchasing another airline ticket until -/-/- at the earliest.
