Citibank Credit card department,
I 've used the same AT & T Universal credit card for 15 years. Nine years ago, I was late on a couple of payments due to financial hardship caused when my ex-wife left me. As a result, the credit card company raised the interest rate to 29.99 %. I have since paid faithfully on time each month, and have patiently petitioned them to reduce my interest rate which, of course, they are unwilling to do. I complained to CFPB back in -/-/-, and the credit card company temporarily reduced my rate to 21 % until -. My rate is now back to 29.99 %. Today I requested a lower rate and was given the same old song and dance : " call us back in 6 months and we 'll see. '' Please help me.
