JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
Chase refuses to go through with a chargeback for an unauthorized amount. I had agreed to a purchase of $24.00, and was charged $170.00 on -/-/15. I initiated a chargeback with chase to attempt to recover the funds from this transaction. Chase did not ever send me a written reply about the status of my case. I requested updates on the status in writing every 2 weeks, with verified delivery. Chase eventually told me that " too much time has passed, and we are unable to do anything about this dispute. '' I told them that this was not fair because I was constantly requesting updates, and the original dispute was within the 60 day window allowed. They claimed that they sent me mail requesting information from me, and I never replied. When I told the representative that the only reply I had gotten from - was that " they were investigating and would let me know if they needed further information '' and that I never actually received a request for said information, he said there was nothing they could do.
