JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
Hi I gave my credit card to a merchant as a guarantee that I will pay. The merchant was supposed to call me to discuss the price and I would let him know how I planned on paying. We discussed that it would not cost more than $500.00. A few days later I see a $500.00 charge on my card. I do not know if any services were preformed. I called the merchant up, and ask " what 's this? '' He replied, " you said I can charge your card ''. I said " that is not true ''. I requested him to send my lawyer a copy of the bill. He never did. I then contacted Chase to start a dispute. I called them on -/-/16. They never responded to me. I got a letter requesting more information from them, but they told me on the phone that I would receive the letter and I should ignore it. On -/-/16 ( I think ) I received a voice message from someone claiming to work in Chase with a request to call them back. I called the number on the back of the card and asked who is trying
and the dispute is closed. Please punish them for breaking the law, as far as I understand, no merchant can charge my card without my permission, and they need to provide me with a receipt. My hunch is the merchant does not want to give me a receipt is either the work was never done, or he is way overcharging me. Thanks for your help, - - -
