RE : NetSpend Visa Debit Card - Received yesterday -/-/16 " This replaces the temporary card you recently purchased. '' Did NOT purchase or request this card. Husband 's ID very recently stolen. Thief opened a credit card and - checking accts. in his name ( police reports filed ). Today received unsolicited debit card as notated above. Inquiry to issuer as to how they obtained our personal info and how card was issued without request. They requested verification from us by asking that we confirm his SS no. which we did not provide. They will NOT divulge how/where they came to have this info. We believe ID thief is involved in some way. This company is either highly unethical, fraudulent or both. Although they claim affiliation with -, there is zero reason for them to have access to SS no., etc. We are and have been extremely vigilant re/personal info and handling of credit and would never, ever use such a card - very alarmed here.
