I recently opened a Wells Fargo account so that I could deposit money for rent, after a short time, my wife and I decided to use a joint account through another service. I emailed Wells Fargo and asked them to close various accounts, a few days later, I noticed I was still receiving alerts from them in the mail. I checked my account and saw that I had an outstanding balance in their credit card service. I called and asked that this situation be resolved, which I assumed it was. I then saw further notifications, and again emailed them, and was told I did n't request to close ALL of my accounts. I called again, and went through various channels, and was told that someone did not properly close my credit card account as promised, but after 50 minutes on the phone, was assured this would be fixed. To my dismay, this issue has still not been resolved, and I still have a credit account with Wells Fargo that shows an outstanding balance.
