This is about Amex Gold Delta Skymiles credit card. When I was booking airline tickets at - on -/-/- and ready to pay with my visa card, a pop up came up inviting me to apply for the - skymile credit card to get $50.00 statement credit and - bonus skymile miles after spending $2000.00 in the first 3 months. So I clicked on the link and applied for the credit card. The card was immediately approved and used to purchase the airline tickets. I continued to make purchases with the card so it met the purchase requirement of $2000.00 during -/-/-. When the statement came, I did n't see the $50.00 statement credit posted, neither the - bonus miles credited to my skymile account. So I called customer service on -/-/- and was told that I would get the $50.00 statement credit and bonus miles in next statement cycle. When I
supervisor who gave me the same answer. The supervisor said that his manager would call me in 24-48 hours to resolve the issue, but nobody ever called back! I felt totally deceived. First of all, I did n't ask for this credit card, they lured me to apply for the card with bonus offers and promises. I would never apply for the card if there were no bonus offers. Second, I did n't see anywhere that they stated that the bonus offer can only be given to customers once in a life time. If they do have such exclusions/restrictions, they should n't lure customer to apply for their credit cards with those bonus offers in the first place! That 's an obvious deceitful business practice!!! I am also very disappointed at their customer service who refused to resolve this issue. I am now reporting this issue to CFPB and asking Amex Delta skymile credit card to honor their promise and give me the $50.00 statement credit and - skymile miles that I well deserve. If the issue is still not resolved through CFPB, I 'll cancel this credit card and stop using Delta airline and Amex service anymore in the future. I will also report this act of deception and malpractice to - and attorney general to have this matter investigated. I am sure that there are many victims like myself.
