A 5 year old account ( with -, which was removed from my credit file a year ago ) is now being reported on my credit report by Debt Recovery Solutions. I 've never received any information from this CA relating to this debt. The information they are reporting is inaccurate ( dates ). They are reporting the account was opened in -. The original - account was closed in - - and a refund for final payment over-payment was received from the original creditor ( - ), yet 6 months later, - began reporting on my credit reports that I owed them $260.00. I refused to pay it, as initially stated, the account was closed with a slight over-payment and I was refunded. Sometime in - the original reporting was removed from my credit file. - -, - Debt Recovery Solutions appears on my credit file as a collection account on behalf of -. DEBT RECOVERY SOLUTIONS - - -, NY - ( - ) - Did not contact me regarding this debt, including offering me the right to dispute the debt before reporting to the credit agency ( ies ).
