Citibank Credit card department,
APR or interest rate Washington
Between - and - -, I purchased furniture from - to take advantage of their two year zero percent program. My - American Express card did not have a high enough credit limit on it, so the sales representative helped me get the limit increased at the time of purchase. I noticed my -/-/- billing reflected total interest charged in - $380.00. I called - and reviewed my account with them. They agreed there was an error and that the account should not be charging interest. An adjustment was made in the amount of $480.00. This was the equivalent of five months interest that should not have been charged. The $480.00 adjustment reflected on my - - statement. My -/-/- statement also included interest owing in the amount of $81.00. I called - again. They claimed they fixed the problem and the interest adjustment would reflect on my -/-/- statement. When I received my -/-/- billing, there was no interest adjustment for the -/-/- billing and interest in the amount of $81.00 was now showing for -. Once again I called - - and explained the situation. Again, they assured me the correction was made for -/-/- and -/-/- and
point, they said a supervisor put notes on the account stating she did a re-amortization of the account and that no adjustments should be made because it required one full billing cycle to correct the problem once and for all. They assured me my -/-/- billing would reflect the interest credit for -/-/- and zero interest owing thereafter. When I received my -/-/- billing, it reflected no adjustments for -/-/- interest. It also reflected $76.00 owing in interest for -/-/-. At this point, I as a consumer fell that i have done my due diligence in trying to get this corrected. It has now been six months and I have made zero progress with - in rectifying this situation. I am hopeful that you can assist me with correcting this problem once and for all.
