Capital One Credit card department,
On - -, 2016 Capital One denied my application for a credit card because " Based on your application information, there is legal action pending against the applicant '' However they fail to disclose what the source of that information is and they did not obtain my credit report during the application process. On - -, 2016 I wrote a letter to Capital One requesting further information. I believe Capital One 's failure to disclose the source of this " legal action pending '' is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act Section 615 ( a ) or Section 615 ( b ).
