Barclays PLC Credit card department,
I opened - Barclay credit card on -/-/16 with the offer that promised to give me - - miles after spending $1000.00 on this credit card. I met this spending requirement on -/-/16 and I expected to receive this bonus on my first statement on -/-/16. However it did not post on -/-/16. I contacted the customer service and they responded : " Dear - - : Thank you for contacting us regarding your - Plus Card. We can certainly address your inquiry regarding the reward points on your account. Welcome to our family of credit cards! We are pleased to confirm that you are eligible to receive - welcome bonus points for spending $1000.00 in new purchases within 90 days of opening your account and you met this requirement as of - -, 2016!

'' So then I expected to receive them on my next statement on -/-/16. But on -/-/16 Barclay closed my credit card without any reasonable explanation. I contacted customer service and they also could n't explain me why my card was closed. I inquired about - bonus miles, but they said I wo n't get them because my card was closed by bank. I have not violated any rules and I met the spending requirement for this bonus on time when my card was active. It looks like bank is using these practices to refuse giving bonus miles to customers as promised.
