Home equity loan or line of credit Credit decision / Underwriting New York
I have home equity loan with Bank of America. The loan was a 10 year term loan that expired in -, -. Since -, -, I have been discussing with the bank to redo the loan, so in -, - the representative at Bank of America told me the quickest way would be to modify the loan. By there estimates it would take no more than 60 days. Dating back to -, - to -, -, they just recently sent my application to their underwriters. Hence they have reported the loans to the credit agencies as past due, while I have been told to continue to pay the loan and it would not effect my FICO score. This is not the case my FICO score has recently dropped - points from - to -. I have been mislead throughout this whole process and now it has become a serious issue impacting my credit score.
