Closing/Cancelling account Idaho
In -, I entered a debit reduction agreement to pay off credit card charges and also requested an account closure of an American Express account. Part of the agreement with - - , - was to close accounts and destroy the card, which was completed. -, - a written request was mailed to American Express to also send a return written notice confirming the closure of this account. The account has been successfully paid in full. Instead, a mailing stating a " statement balance will change with recent activity on your account '' was mailed with their notice to call. The card was destroyed and no intent to use on my behalf. American Express notes cancelling the account -yet will not send notice of CLOSURE. My request is simple. A closure notice, no further activity and yet American Express would prefer to upsell their product/credit card. Help?! Thanks so much!
