Bank of America Consumer Loan department,
Vehicle loan Shopping for a loan or lease California
On -/-/16 I purchased a car from -. It was a cash deal. With a purchase price of $40000.00, I gave them $21000.00 in cash and wrote a check for $19000.00 to complete the transaction. They ran my credit and had me fill out a credit application but stated it would not be processed unless for some reason my account had insufficient funds and the check did not clear. On that date I had over $130000.00 in Bank of America. I drove the vehicle home. - - I got a letter from Bank of America stating that they had received a loan request through - and that my loan had been disapproved due to information from - even though my credit score was -. I called the banks - number and asked them how I could be turned down for a loan I had not asked for in the first place. They said - submitted the loan application. So, I asked them even if - submitted it, I had over $130000.00 in Bank of America and they cashed my check. So, - I did not need a loan and secondly if I had requested one - how could they deny
processing, but only submitted it as back up in case my check did not clear ( which of course it did clear ) .I went into Bank of America in person and they could not help me. They said somebody would call me. About a week later I got a call from B of A in another State but when I returned the call they had closed at - Central time. Just a few days ago I got another letter from Bank of America dated - -, 2016 again stating that my loan had been declined. Even as of today 's date, I still have over $110000.00 in Bank of America. I happen to have almost double that amount in other banks and happen to own - houses free and clear. I have - loan on my existing house but I do not see how any of that is even relevant when I paid cash for the vehicle and of course had enough in Bank of America that given day to buy - vehicles in cash. Both parties have denied any wrong doing in this but it is obvious that one if not two are clearly in the wrong here. My relationship with Bank of America after over 30 years has been damaged and I plan to withdraw my funds from that institution. I would like to ask for monetary damages and compensation for this quagmire. Bank of America claims that I am a preferred customer. I wonder how a non preferred customer is treated..Ironically, I have a $20000.00 credit limit on my Bank of America credit card . That was the amount of the loan they turned me down for that I did not apply for ...
