JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
Identity theft / Fraud / Embezzlement California
Chase credit card services received my properly documented dispute within the 60 day window. Chase admitted to erroneously ruling against me and closing the case without even reviewing any of my supporting information. Chase allegedly 'reopened the dispute ' and immediately reissued their decision to deny my dispute, despite documentation from the vendor clearly showing the disputed $4000.00 was an excessive and unauthorized charge. Chase then pressed me to provide evidence of fraud by the Vendor in order to continue the dispute. I researched and provided Chase with documented proof of fraudulent charges proving the vendor charged me for approximately $12000.00 of services that they never delivered and I obviously did not receive ( - 3- the amount I disputed ). I did not change the disputed amount and kept it unchanged at $4000.00. Nearly 7 months after alerting Chase to the erroneous/fraudulent charges, Chase refuses to make the 'provisional credit ' permanent. I believe they unintentionally ( but nonetheless damaging ) created a bias against me due to their mistake of ruling in the Vendor 's favor even before they reviewed any of the case details. I am preparing to hire an attorney to pursue arbitration/litigation of these actions
correct, apparently because it means they would have to go back to the Vendor and say, " Sorry, you know that dispute we allegedly researched and ruled in your favor ... .well, we screwed up and we need to take back the $4000.00 we gave to you. '' I believe Chase will rely on the following for their defense ; the vendor told me they would reverse the erroneous $4000.00 charge prior to me disputing the charge. I relied on this ( fraudulent ) statement by the vendor and paid my monthly balance in full as I usually do. Chase may win on this technicality, but there is no denying that Chase is complicit in the Vendor 's fraud. Chase 's action to knowingly allow the Vendor to use its relationship with Chase to perpetuate an act of fraud is something that can be 'rectified ' with organizations influential enough to 'get Chase 's attention. ' It is a testament to Chase 's arrogance that this is necessary for a disputed $4000.00 charge that Chase could have and should have reversed long ago.
