I received negative scores on my credit due to communication errors by the lender ( University - Pennsylvania ) and the servicer ( -, a division of - - ). I made a payment to the servicer - - but they failed to credit this - account and gave a negative credit report that severly hurt my credit score. The - website managed by - that I traditionally used to make payments was not working, and I was directed to make a payment over the phone. When I made the payment over the phone they failed to credit the right accounts, and I was reported to the credit agencies as 30 days past due. In addition, when this account was first brought into repayment, I never received correspondence from the lender nor the servicer regarding repayment, indebtedness, and schedule of repayment and my account went into delinquency and I was given negative reports on my score.
