I applied for an - - - - card in -/-/- after seeing an advertisement on the company website in -/-/-. The ad stated - bonus points after spending $1000.00 in first 90 days. I made $1000.00 purchase within 30 days. When I called AME- for the bonus -/-/-, I was told, it will appear in my statement. It did n't show in my statement. I called AME- today and was told that I had a similar card in -/-/- that was cancelled in -/-/-. The fact is the card was cancelled in -/-/-. I am concerned that if AME- ca n't keep track of the accounts, it does n't give me a good feeling about the security and reliability of their products. This is not an isolated incidence. There are other serious issues also with AME- cards, one of them being canceling the card without customer authorization or discussing with the customer. I would like CFPB to do further investigation into the IT systems and processes of AME- that leads to such issues.
