Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
Credit line increase/decrease Florida
I have had a Gap store credit card that is not associated with - for several years. Today I received a notification that Gap was sending me an " upgraded '' new Gap Visa Card. This appears to be an unrestricted Visa card. This was completely unsolicited. In the letter there is information that I must call on opt out of the program if I do n't want to receive the new Visa card. I feel this is predatory behavior on the part of Gap or the bank that represents them, Synchrony Bank. Not to mention it has an APR of 25.24 %! If I did not pay close attention to this letter I would not have known I was required to call and opt out. It should be the other way around. The consumer should be required to opt in if they want to issued a Visa card.
