Closing/Cancelling account New Jersey
Hi, I was given misleading information from AME- rep via the phone two times : 1. I wanted to close my credit card account but did a credit card conversion to a different card instead because the rep told me I can keep the old credit card history and it wont open up a new account. This is not the case on my credit report. 2. I requested an investigation a few months ago and was told I will be reached out for explanation. It never happened and when I called and asked today I was told there will be no response if they deemed they didnt do anything wrong. In summary, I opened up a new credit card account with misleading information and American Express refused to correct the mistake or provided any compensation for my loss.
