I entered a hardship repayment agreement with American Express through their customer service process over the phone. I was told that I agreement was to make $950.00 a month payments until the debt was paid off and that my account would remain in good standing. American Express accepted the payment but still reported me as delinquent which dropped my credit score, raised my payments with other creditors and increase my hardship.
