JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
Credit determination Louisiana
I received a - form Chase Bank charging off my debt owed to them, I opened an account with them in - when in the military and up until - never missed a payment. This was a joint account and in - - I got a divorce and was ordered to carry this amount with me. In - I was advised to stop making payments and fell behind. In - I received the - charging off my debt. I filed the charge off on my - federal tax return and thought I was done. Chase had been reporting on my credit report that the balance had been charged off and was showing at $0.00. When - requested a background check on all employees in - the account on my credit report reverted back to the original balance and my credit score dropped almost - points. I just want Chase to show my balance at $0.00 and not past due. I know it will remain on my report for a certain amount of time but reporting it as is will really continue to hurt my credit rating. It seems to me that Chase is double dipping, they charged off my account and I file on my taxes for the funds and now they are still saying I owe on my report.
