Seven months after moving out of my previous home, - - - - - sent a bill for $370.00 to a collections agency. No attempt had been made to inform me of the debt in the intervening 7 months. - - - had my home phone number, work number, bank account information ( with permission to withdraw ), new address, and e-mail address. Yet they sent the account to collections without ever informing me that there was a balance due. The collections agency threatened to take further legal action, including negative credit scores and lawsuits, if I did not pay immediately. The collections agency had no information about the debt. - & - had no information or explanation of the debt, other than " you owe this. '' No one could explain why no previous effort had been made to collect the debt.
