CHASE Bank sent me a letter indicating that it had decided to close a checking account that I opened with it over three years ago. When I contacted the bank seeking an explanation, - consecutive representatives told me that no explanation was forthcoming stating that it was within the bank 's purview to close my account without giving me a reason why. In trying to find a reasonable explanation of the bank 's action, I explained to at least one of the representative that I 'm a - person and that the money coming to this account is mostly from social security and from a part-time job I have as an -, and that most of the withdrawals I make are to pay normal pecuniary expenses.
