JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
On - - I received a call from - of J.P. Morgan/Chase Bank Email Service dept indicating that they had pulled my Credit Report in error. I do have a Chase Unlimited Freedom account for 10 months, however I had NOT requested any services. - had shared that the error had been fixed and it would be transparent to me. The following day, - -, I receive an alert from - and - that an inquiry had been placed on my credit reports. My credit score decreased by - points on each credit bureau. On Monday - - I called Chase regarding this issue and was transferred to a supervisor, - -. - indicated that my account was documented that an error had taken place and assured me that it would take 3 business days for the inquiries to be removed. I received a letter dated - - indicating that " As you requested, were no longer processing your application for a credit card issued by Chase Bank USA , NA. This truly angered me because I had not requested credit. There is no application and this letter was dishonest and misleading. Then another letter arrived dated - - from
my request for credit, - - said, did I think that I would receive a letter from Chase admitting their error. I did call the Executive Office and spoke to a - who indicated that they are the largest bank in the country and no promises could be made as to when the inquiries would be removed. I asked to speak to her manager, - -. I left a message for her and never received a return call. MY last attempt on - -, I called - -, the Supervisor at Chase credit card services and she made it very clear that given the size of the bank, no promise of when the inquiries would be removed. - made it clear that no personal attention could be given and if the inquiries are not deleted from my files, it 's between me and the Credit Bureaus and there is no reason to call them back. I have banked with Chase for over 20 years and their behavior and pompous attitude has me truly rethinking of banking elsewhere. Chase created this issue and now refuses to see it through. The inquiries dated - - 2016 remain on my - and - reports and has impacted my score. Any assistance to get Chase to answer for their actions and get the - inquiries off of my credit file would be most appreciated.
