Amex Credit card department,
I recently opened an Amex Gold card and went through the general process of application to receiving the card no problem. I then had a few transactions in the city of of residency for very low amounts and found out that my card ended up not being able to swipe on the third or fourth transaction. I called in to inquire why and was told that they could not give me more information because they would contact me on the number on file for security reasons and also told me that they had given me a call. Both of these things I 'm certain did n't happen so I went online and checked my number and it was correct. Amex had me open a new line then failed to provide reasonable stated services and blocked my account. Now when I call in, the wait times on their fraud department is over - minutes ( still on hold right now waiting for a representative ). I will fail to receive my early spend bonus if they keep me blocked.
