I have a Citibank card through Home Depot, card ending in - I have closed this account as I am not working and unemployed. I went on a plan to pay citibank $25.00 a month until the credit card is paid off. My first two payments I made Citibank put into other accounts and did not credit me the money. They kept calling me and were extremely rude to me on the phone. I explained I paid, not only the current month, but next month 's payment early. They said they receive no payments. THEY DID. The supervisor realized how Citibank internal process routed my money to the wrong account and mistakenly sent one payment back to my bank. They apologized and gave me a slight credit on this account for the over 3 hours I spent on the phone clearing this up. NOW, Citibank found another mysterious account and is harassing me. I have asked them to stop calling my cell phone which I use as my home phone. My home line is just used for business faxes and emergencies. Now, Citibank is calling this line. Citibank is constantly calling my home fax line with a recording, even on Sunday AM. I asked them to communicate through mail with me but they continue to call me. I told them I do not know of any open account I have besides the Home Dept Account ending in -. These draconian and rude practices are against the Fair Credit Reporting Act. After I set up a payment schedule on the Citibank card I know about, after they lost my payments, Citibank is now trying to collect on some other card I have never heard of. Citibank is harassing my family and me, on phone lines I have asked them not to call.
