JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
On -/-/-, I made an online payment to the wrong credit card company. Instead of sending the payment to my personal credit card account at Chase Bank, I made payment to an old account at JP Morgan Chase Commercial that had not been deleted from my banking profile. The JP Morgan Chase Commercial account has not been used in over two years and was reportedly closed upon my resignation from the Federal Bureau of Investigation on - -, -. I contacted JP Morgan Chase and was told they could send a refund check to the address on file, which is my former employer. My former employer does not have my forwarding address, since I have relocated since resigning from the agency, and has failed to provide any assistance with resolving this issue. JP Morgan Chase referred me to - individuals within the FBI that handle government travel cards and I have not received a response from either, although multiple messages have been left. I have contacted an employee at the FBI - Field Office, who has been able to verify my account was closed and that the account now has a credit to the account in the amount of my erroneous payment. She has attempted to contact FBI Headquarters to resolve the issue, but has not received a response from anyone who can assist.
