I recently had a horrible experience with American Express. I went to the - Rewards site to book a hotel. Off to the right was an offer to recieve - off the stay if I apply for an American Express card. So I apply, it goes thru and I try to book my room. I find out I do not have the number for the card or any information to reserve the room. I call customer service, they ca n't help me. I go online to get the information from the account site and they can not help me. So where am I supposed to get this - for applying for the card. I spent an hour on the phone with AME- and - Rewards. In the end I just cancelled the card. No one needs this false advertisement or hassle. I 'm to the point I will highly recommend our company stop using the corporate cards we have. Why advertise something you are not going to deliver on?
