Wells Fargo & Company Credit card department,
Credit card protection / Debt protection Texas
A credit card account was added to my primary bank account, which I never agreed to, nor seen the card, nor used the credit card. It was never mailed to me. However, I have been getting charged with overdraft fees from my primary account. Which is strange considering that I have not had an overdraft fee in over 10 years due to my savings account. If I go over on my primary account the funds will automatically take from my savings. I had it set up this way for years. When I noticed a charged was added to the credit card account of $100.00 by checking my bank on line, I paid the balance ONLY to get it off my account, hopefully to get rid of it. However, the balance continued to increase. After speaking to a banker considering this matter is when I was informed that the charges were from overdraft fees and the credit card was set up as an " overdraft protection '' instead of my savings. I explained to the banker that I never agreed for the credit card to be my overdraft protection because I had already have that set up with my savings account. I continued by informing her that I have not had an overdraft until this credit card was added to my account, that is strange. Supposedly I had overdrafts since - to -. Now I have a balance of $470.00 which is now on my credit report and affecting my score. I informed them many times that I did not agree for a credit card to be added as my overdraft protection, nor have I seen this card, nor even used the card but still I 'm being harassed to make payments on this account and damaging my credit score.
