I, - -, have been receiving numerous emails from Gold Delta Sky Miles Credit Card, offering : - bonus miles, check your first bag free on every Delta flight, and priority boarding. My husband and I do a lot of traveling, so I thought that I would take advantage of it. I filled out the application on line and emailed it to American Express. On - -, 2016, I received an email back from American Express, saying that they received my application. Ref : - On or about - -, I received a letter from American Express, advising me that they need a letter from my Banker stating that I do business there. I forwarded the information to my - and he wrote up a letter advising them that I do business there and signed it. I sent all the information back to American Express.
down to my Banker and gave him the letter which I received from American Express. My Banker, - -, - Private Client - He placed the call on Speaker so I could hear. He spoke to a -, who advised my Banker that my - - address has a lot of FRAUD! He also wanted to know why my Banker did not send my account balances. He said normally all Bankers do. Then he advised my Banker that the phone number from the Bank, was not the same number he was calling from. When my Banker asked - what number does it show, - said he could not reveal the number. None of this made any sense. My Banker called a second time and spoke to a female. She advised my Banker that the number is incorrect. My Banker asked to speak to a Manager and was placed on hold for 10 minutes. My Banker hung and called back and again was told by another representative that the number he is calling from does not match the number he gave them. My Banker was advised to send another letter. They requested a proof of address which we already provided but were unable to confirm his signature. ( so they say ) AME- has requested that the Banker call and confirm his identity, which he attempted to do but was unsuccessful due to a discrepancy in the phone number, which they say they have is different. He faxed all this on -/-/-. None of this makes any sense!! When I returned home, I advised my husband that the representative from American Express, says that there is a lot of fraud at this address. He called the - number with the Utah address and asked to speak to a Manager. He spoke to a - -, and she advised my husband that the Rep never said that ... ... .. She advised my husband that she needs a correct phone number from my Banker! My husband asked - what phone number was he calling her from and she said she didnt know! This makes no sense!!! Why are they lying about the Bankers phone number!! This is so irrelevant to the matter. My husband asked to speak to another Manager and - said she would have one call us back. We are still waiting for a phone call from another Manager.. I feel that AME- is discriminating against me because I am an older female!! I truthfully
