Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
Credit determination Minnesota
Sometime in the - to - week of -, 2016, I applied for the Sam 's Club -. On -/-/2016 I received a response from Synchrony Bank stating that they were denying my application due to the following reason : " BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDING, CREDIT COUNSELING OR CREDITOR SETTLEMENT ''. I have reviewed the latest copies of all three of my credit reports and none of them reflect any of the above whatsoever. I do not have any bankruptcies, nor have I had any credit counseling or creditor settlements. I monitor my credit reports monthly so if any such information was present I would know about it. I wrote Synchrony Bank a letter on -/-/2016 asking that to please either provide the " current '' credit report that shows this information or to please reconsider my application. I never got any response from Synchrony Bank. It seems very unfair to have a financial institution use inaccurate information against me in determining my financial creditworthiness. I even wonder if it is legal for them to state such reasons which are simply not accurate according to all - of my credit reports.
