Checking account Account opening, closing, or management
JPMorgan Chase & Co. Bank account or service department,
Checking account Account opening, closing, or management California
I received a check for a larger than normal amount and went to the local Chase bank branch to speak with a banker on the best way to deposit it. Since CD interest rates are so low, it was agreed that I would open a new savings account. I also upgraded my checking accounts based on his recommendation. A few days later, the check cleared and I created - bill pay items to send out. A few days after that, my primary checking account went negative and the savings account was also negative. - - had marked the check as fraudulent. I got a new check from the company that was pre-cleared by - - and returned again to Chase.
Chase then froze and closed all my accounts. I 've been banking with them for - years, since 2010 and have never had a problem with deposits. They said they would issue a check after the accounts were closed. This leaves me with no checking account and almost 15 days of waiting time to get access to my existing funds that were in my checking accounts, not counting the deposit. Why did the banker not warn me that this could happen? Why was my account flagged?
