Amex Credit card department,
Unsolicited issuance of credit card North Carolina
I recently contacted American Express regarding my - credit card, and was told my account would be transferring to - and I had no control over the $ - in credit on the account. - has severed ties with American Express, and have urged customers to get the new --issued card. I have had horrible and unacceptable experiences with -, both in terms of their customer service and attempting to use their product. I absolutely DO NOT want another - card. As I have been told by AME-, an account holder can only have - " line of credit '' with AME-, the amount of which is divided among the AME- cards issued to the account holder. I signed up for the - - - card in preparation of the - card closing, and transferred half my credit to that card. When I called AME- I was told that the remaining $ - ( still on the - card ) was locked and I could not transfer it to the -. Now I am stuck, because I either lose $ - in credit by closing the account, or accept a card that I in no way ever signed up for issued by a bank that I do not want to do business with. I feel this behavior is extremely fraudulent and unacceptable. I NEVER gave - any permission to handle or modify my account with AME-.
