Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
Transaction issue Pennsylvania
I placed an order with Amazon.com on -/-/- for approximately $200.00. I used my Amazon.com store card so the order was eligible for a 6 month promotion because it totaled over $140.00. Within the next day, I received an email from Amazon that they could not complete the order because the credit card company had denied the payment amount, and they asked me to use another credit card to fund the purchase. When I contacted Synchrony Bank, a rep named - said it was denied because there was a hold on my account. She said sometimes this happens when a large order has been placed. I explained that this has never happened before and I routinely place orders with Amazon that are over $200.00, and sometimes over $600.00, as you will see that I currently have promotions for 6 months to 1 year. When I continued to question as to why there was a hold on my account, she asked me to wait while she removed the hold. She came back to the line and said not to worry, as she 'd removed the hold, but she either could not or would not provide definitive explanation as to the reason there was a hold on the account.
