Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
Delinquent account Pennsylvania
As a member of Amazon Prime I applied to a store card due to the perks provided. I was approved and account opened. The creditor Synchrony Bank involuntarily enrolled me in paperless statements. I was not aware of this enrollment and thus did not receive a paper statement to make a payment. I found out about the issue when my transactions were being declined and I contacted Synchrony Bank to understand why. I was informed my account was past due. I informed them I never received a statement to submit payment. I was informed I was enrolled in paperless statements which is why I was n't receiving a statement. Once that information was provided, I switched back to paper statements and made the necessary payments to bring my account to current. I later found Synchrony Bank provided negative information to the credit bureaus for late payments/delinquency. I had asked that be corrected since it 's their fault payment was n't make due to involuntarily enrolling me in paperless statements. As of today, those negative marks are still on my credit bureau reports ... ..I want them removed. Synchrony Bank should not be able to just enroll people in paperless statements. None of my accounts are paperless as I do not manage my accounts in that fashion. I use paper statements ... .thus the reason account was n't paid as required during initial months after opening. Once the issue was identified, the account was immediately brought current.
